Long descriptions
All significant images have so-called "long descriptions", for people with visual disabilities. At least, I hope they do. For anyone's convenience, here is a complete list of the descriptions.
Cambourne Arts Banner
The banner, used on all pages, has the words "Cambourne Arts" in friendly blue letters. A graphic shows a guitarist leaping while music issues from his guitar, a photograph of a beach, a camcorder, and a paintbrush, all against a background of watercolour paint.
Rabbit
Watercolour of a rabbit sitting in a hole, looking around, nose twitching.
A creative writing workshop
A creative writing workshop. Five women are gathered around a table, listening to one of them reading her work.
Church at Barley, Herts
A pen and ink drawing showing a church with lich-gate and pebble-dashed cottages.
Eagle
A drawing of an eagle standing on a branch, seen from the side. The small head is almost white, with a beady eye and sharp curved beak. Dark feathers with light fringes shroud the body, like a cloak. Long tail feathers angle towards the viewer.
Pheasant Inn, Felstone, Kiedler Forest
A colourful watercolor of a pub, with a bench seat, and the backs of two houses. The pub garden has groups of colourful bushes.
Metro entrance, Paris
A pen and ink drawing of an art-nouveau entrance to an underground metro in Paris. The iron structure resembles the background trees. Above the entrance is the French word Metropolitain. In the background, some figures are seated on benches.
Pont du Gard
Watercolour of a bridge over a river. The bridge has three tiers, each with multiple arches. The arches of the higher levels are smaller then those of lower levels.
Street scene
Watercolour of a street scene. Tall buildings, perhaps blocks of flats, look down on a courtyard. On the left, a narrow passageway leads to a door, hidden in shadows. On the right, steps lead up, perhaps to street level. In the right foreground, a woman is calling to someone unseen. Isolated in left foreground, a small bushy plant in a pot.
Alan Gibson
Pen and ink self-portrait of Alan. He has short hair and a full beard, and is smiling.
Carnival procession
Dancers with flamboyant skirts painted in the colours of the Union Flag lead a procession.
