Music Festival 2010
We are proud to announce a four-day music festival this August. It will take place in and around the Hub, featuring a variety of styles and expertise. Live music for all tastes!
Food and a bar will be available throughout.
Thursday 5th August 2010
Cambourne Rocks: for up and coming musicians.
Where: the Hub.
When: Thursday 5th August 7pm to 11pm.
Admission:
- Adults: £5
- Concessions (retired and unwaged): £4

Friday 6th August 2010
On Friday evening, we have a family ceilidh followed by adult ceilidh with a folk duo in the interval.
The Ceilidh Allstars will be playing until 11pm, with three instrumentalists and a caller.
Family Ceilidh
This is a knees-up for all the family, from 9 months to 90 years. Work off excess energy by dancing with this fabulous band.
During the interval, a brief performance by Celtic Heart.

Adult Ceilidh
This is an adult-only knees-up. No, not that kind of adults-only. It just means that dodgy dancers like me don't need to worry about tripping up over little ones.

Saturday 7th August 2010
Guitar workshops
Learn to play, or expand your skills.
Where: the Church.
When: Saturday 7th August 1pm to 2pm, and 3pm to 4pm.
Admission: Free (courtesy of Start-Arts)
Under-12s must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring your own guitar, if possible. We will have a very small number of "spares".

MC workshops
Learn how to show movin' and groovin' from the masters.

4 Band Bargain
Saturday afternoon: '4 Band Bargain' - performances by local groups. We have invited a number of local bands to entertain us.

Salsa Night
Salsa tuition followed by dancing to live international 12-piece salsa band Roberto Pla Latin Ensemble.

Enjoy strawberries and Pimms at a classical concert from a pair of outstanding musicians.
| Born in Mexico City of Scottish and Mexican descent, over the last year Morgan Szymanski has been selected as 'one to watch' by Gramophone Magazine and BBC Music Magazine and was featured artist on the cover of Classical Guitar Magazine. Future plans include a new concerto commission with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields, his debut at the Konzerthaus in Vienna and a tour of China with Adam. Weekend ticket
Come along for the entire long weekend. Four days of great music, dance, food and drink. It's better than Glastonbury, if only because you can sleep in your own bed. For admission to any or all events except the Guitar Workshops, including meals where shown above:

Tickets
Admission will be by advance ticket only. HOWEVER, you may reserve non-concession tickets by calling 01954 710858, and pick them up at the door. Tickets MAY be available on the door at each event IF there are any left.
Tickets are available, either over the internet, or from Cambourne Library (open 9.30-5.30 Mon-Fri and 9.30-1 Sat), or sometimes (eg Thursday 15 July) at Green's Cafe, or personally from Fran Panrucker (01954 710858).
To order tickets over the net, click on the We Got Tickets logo below. Instead of a physical ticket, you will get a booking reference. You must bring this booking reference to show at the door. You might find it most convenient to print the We Got Tickets confirmation email, and bring that with you. Please note that a 10% booking fee will be added to the ticket prices. Concessionary tickets are not available online, because there is no way for you to prove your entitlement.
